When it comes to Madonna, she settles for nothing less than extravagant when it comes to fashion.
With the new Rebel Heart concert, which kick-started this September, she’s still got edge lining up some of the biggest names in the industry for her on-stage costume design.
Partnering yet again (for the sixth time) with Oscar-nominated costume designer Arianne Phillips, the rest of the lineup includes Alexander Wang, Fausto Puglisi, Alessandro Michele for Gucci, MiuMiu, Nicolas Jebran, Jeremy Scott for Moschino, Prada, and Swarovski.
Rule 1 of a Rebel Heart: Every designer has to endure the long hours. In fact it’s well known that Madonna’s wardrobe choices aren’t final until the curtain rises when the choreography wraps up ensuring the functionality and flexibility of the outfits while performing on stage.
Rule 2 of a Rebel Heart: Prepare to be disappointed about catching her live. Through October, Madonna’s much-sought-after tour across Canada and the United States may be sold out. Try to catch her on stage by logging into www.madonna.com/tour for tickets.
Rule 3 of a Rebel Heart: Live and learn.
