Facebook is setting sail in a new direction; this according to founder Mark Zuckerberg who said the company was testing out new alternatives to the iconic ‘Like’ button. The new ‘Dislike’ button would not be used to dismiss or ridicule posts people do not like, but to show empathy towards posts of national disasters. This is a turnabout decision from last year, when Zuckerberg dismissed claims that a dislike button was in the works.
There is yet to be a confirmed date on when this feature would roll out or even if the feature will roll out as explained as the company is said to be still in the design and planning phase on this alternative.
