Continuing its 100 year celebration, Salvatore Ferragamo has just released a Ladies capsule collection in collaboration with Edgardo Osorio, a young talent from Colombia. Osorio has used the wealth of Ferragamo’s archive to come up with a collection that channels a new contemporary look on Hollywood classics.
Entitled Edgardo Osorio for Salvatore Ferragamo the collection seeks to combine a little bit of everything, from style to different materials. Ferragamo classics like the Rainbow Wedge, the Polka Dot shoe and the Wing shoe are reinvented with signature elements like bows, laces and wings. Even the materials used are unique with feathers, stones and suede that are used to adorn the shoes into quite a fashion statement.
The colors have also been updated, to shades more pleasing to today’s generation adding a sense of glamour and luxury that most shoes simply don’t have. At the same time, this isn’t just a celebration of Ferragamo’s ties with Hollywood, but the first time the fashion house has collaborated with another designer using their name.
The Edgardo Osorio for Salvatore Ferragamo capsule collection is currently available at select Ferragamo boutiques in the region as well online from their website.
