Swarovski staged a unique two-day launch event during Paris Fashion Week to celebrate the global release of a new publication by Rizzoli celebrating its 120th anniversary, as well as the World Jewelry Facets 2015 exhibition.
The crystal company transformed the baroque splendor of the Salons France-Amériques into a state-of-the-art exhibition space to present some of the unique pieces from the Swarovski archives which appear in the book. Four different areas each focused on a creative industry: Fashion, Jewelry, Performance and Design. The jewelry section was mostly dedicated to World Jewelry Facets, a creative platform curating the best of contemporary fashion jewelry design, with an additional display of key statement pieces from the Atelier Swarovski archives as well as the cutting-edge jewelry and accessories line’s upcoming collections.
The two-day retrospective exhibition shows off a multi-faceted world where the past, present and future of the 120-year-old crystal house co-exist in one luminous space, bringing to life the pages of Swarovski’s celebratory book.
The cocktail reception on Wednesday evening featured a special performance from singer and model Caroline Vreeland, great grand-daughter of fashion icon Diana Vreeland, whom Atelier Swarovski honored through a Legacy Collection back in 2013. Caroline performed two of her original songs – including upcoming single “Black Summer” – as well as two covers which enchanted the evening’s illustrious guests.
